The roof design consists of a folding steel hardtop with both halves linked by a mechanism that is locked securely when the roof is closed. Massively successful in its first year, worldwide sales hit 55,000, over double the entire nine-year production of 190 SLs and between 19, over 311,000 SLKs were sold. By late 1991, under Bruno Sacco, the first design sketches were drawn, with scale models being built in the first half of 1992.

The spark plugs were replaced, the coolant was flushed, and the oil was changed in November 2022. The supercharged 2.3-liter inline-four was factory rated at 185 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. The digital odometer indicates 28k miles, approximately 90 of which were added by the selling dealer. The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to an adjustable column and fronts white-dial instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. Additional details include side-impact airbags, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, SLK-branded floor mats, brushed door sill trim, and an AM/FM cassette stereo connected to a Bose sound system. The bucket seats are upholstered in two-tone red and black leather with red stitching and are joined by carbon-look trim on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. The brake fluid was flushed in November 2022. Braking is handled by four-wheel anti-lock discs. Silver-finished 16″ alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires measuring 205/55 up front and 225/50 out back.

Photos showing paint meter readings are included in the gallery. Additional equipment includes headlight washers, integrated fog lights, heated windshield washers, black door handles, integrated dual roll bars behind the seats, and a single exhaust outlet.

The car is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features a body-color power-retractable hardtop and Kompressor badging. This SLK 320 is now offered in Florida with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title. Service in November 2022 included fluid changes and replacing the spark plugs. Equipment includes a power-retractable hardtop, headlight washers, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, simulated carbon-fiber trim, and a cassette stereo. The car is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over two-tone red and black leather upholstery and is powered by a supercharged 2.3-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
